R is a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics. It compiles and runs on a wide variety of UNIX platforms, Windows and MacOS.

Using  R (RedHat)

Running R doesn't require any special setup:

[elx]% /usr/bin/R
R version 3.2.3 (2015-12-10) -- "Wooden Christmas-Tree"

Type 'demo()' for some demos, 'help()' for on-line help, or
'help.start()' for an HTML browser interface to help.
Type 'q()' to quit R.
> q()
Save workspace image? [y/n/c]: n

R is entirely command driven. There are however excellent gui's available for R like rstudio or rcmdr. These are not pre-installed but can be distributed if there is a need, just let us know!
