Maxwell : Getting started

This page will guide you briefly to the documentation. If you follow the steps below (or click through the flowchart) you should have a good idea about the most important aspects of the Maxwell cluster.

  1. The access page gives the information how to get access to Maxwell and it's partitions
  2. The interactive login page explains how to login (remotely) to the Maxwell Cluster, and available login nodes
  3. Before starting any serious computation have a look at the storage options. Note: your home-directory on Maxwell has a hard limit of 30GB!
  4. There are a handful of useful commands which might facilitate your life on the cluster
  5. Before submitting a job have a look at the partitions in the cluster. Different partitions have different limits and hardware.
  6. To get familiar with batch jobs have a look at Running jobs
