3rd Test production has started since early April 2018. Version of ILCSoft/ILDConfig were v01-19-06/v01-19-06-p01. This will be a small production to test the readiness for the optimization production.

New samples will have the following new features, exept those included in the new ILCSoft/ILDConfig, with respect to the 2nd test production.

  1. Single particle samples were recreated with similar condition as the 2nd production. uds generator samples were copied from sgreen's directory after renaming.
  2. /ilc/prod/ilc/mc-opt-2 is the tape pool at DESY-SRM. Files other than sim, rec, dstm are written to /ilc/prod/ilc/mc-opt.dsk, same as the 2nd production.

Default detector models and analysis option will be : ILD_ls5_v02 and ILD_ls5_o1_v02. uds samples are reconstructed with o1 and o2 options.

Note: ILD_s5_o1_vo2 samples were reconstructed with wrong parameters. See "Problems found" below.

File path of DST-Merged files

DST-Merged files were created after all production completes. They will be found in the directory,  /ilc/prod/ilc/mc-opt-2/ild/dst-merged/<Energy-Machine>/<EvtClass>/<DetectorModel>/v01-19-06-p01

DST-merged files exists at DESY-SRM and KEK-SRM

Problems found

  • The command line argument of Marlin, --constant.DetectorModel, was missing in ILCDirac production. As a result, all samples of ELOG ID less or equal to 120 ( DIRAC Production ID less than or euql to 9747 ) were reconstructed with ILD_l5_o1_v02 parameters, namely ILD_s5_o1_v02 samples are not correct though ILD_l5_o1_v02 samples are correct. This problem will be fixed in the samples after ProdID=9748 and/or ELOGID 121.  Thanks Bo Li for reporting this problem.
    • s5_o1 model of uds and 6f_ttbar samples and ls5_o2 model for uds samples were recreated. See ELOG-ID=121, 122, 123 for details (2018-04-17)
    • dst-merged files of uds ls5_o2 model were removed from SE and DIRAC catalog (2018-04-18) 
  • Directories of simulation and reconstruction jobs were under mc-opt.dsk.dsk. It will be fixed in the production after ELOG ID 121 to mc-opt.dsk.
